Hitting the Goal Line -Jocelyn Soto
I loved the fascinating story, seriously, read the previous books to understand this Chicago Dark Knights serious end. I loved the story of Sophia and Blake, from the adorable five year old meet cute to the adulthood lifelong indecision of changing a bestie relationship to the confession of love...that could tank the friendship. The slow burn (?) but awesome spice was explosive.
They had fantastic interaction, the characters were wonderful, and the story was fantastically written. However, there is a strong domestic violence run in the last third that had serious questions for me. It could be I could have preconceptions influencing that too, however, it just seemed to have plopped compared to how big it was. (ALSO, IN STORY TRIGGER)
My copy also had a lot of errors, I hope that can get or is already resolved. It kept pulling me out of the story.
The book is a fantastic way to see the older book characters and see the story of Sophia and Blake.
